Where α p and α x is the α-value for protons and photons, respectively, and b is a fitting parameter. A global fit is then performed to the logarithm of the surviving fraction for each data point, similar to the method employed in [6], where the individual dose values of each data point are also taken into account.
Results:
The results, as depicted in Figure 1, demonstrate that increasing the power level (n) for compiling radiation spectra into RQM significantly enhances model performance (power level 1 corresponds to LET d , LET t , Q eff,d and Q eff,t , respectively). This suggests that particles with high LET values, which receive more weight as the power level increases, primarily contribute to the observed increase in RBE for protons. Furthermore, Q eff outperforms LET, and track weighted spectra outperform dose-weighted spectra for higher power levels.
