Figure 2: Clinical photon (left) and proton (right) plans were created using planning CT (pCT) (top row) and then recalculated for synthetic CT (sCT) (second row). Based on the dose difference (third row) between the clinical and recalculated plans, a distribution of gamma index with criterion of 2%/2mm (bottom row) was calculated. Here, only one slice from one representative patient is used. The purple, red, yellow and blue delineations are the CTV, spinal cord, parotid sin and parotid dx, respectively.

Conclusion:
