(11 measurements showed a passing rate lower than 90%). Radiochromic film results showed a good agreement within 5% with long radiation field method measurements.
Conclusion:
Long radiation field method provides a more accurate comparison between calculated and measured dose distributions than the standard method can do for larger radiation fields. Differences between long radiation field and Radiochromic film results were not significant for any of the measurements. These results suggest that long radiation field method can be adopted within the clinical practice for larger radiation fields verification.
