Results:
All the GPR results are reported in Table 1. For the randomized 1deg rotational perturbations with and without Gaussian distribution, SPArc shows high GPRs with a 3%/3mm and 2%/2mm criteria over 99%. The GPR dropped slightly with a strict 1%/1mm criteria. For the randomized 2deg rotational perturbations with and without Gaussian distribution, SPArc shows acceptable GPRs with a 3%/3mm and 2%/2mm criteria over 96%. However, the GPR dropped significantly with a strict 1%/1mm criteria which indicates the random gantry error up limits in the SPArc dynamic treatment delivery.
Conclusion:
This is the first quantitative investigation of gantry error and its dosimetric impact in the SPArc treatment delivery. The result provides a reference and guidance for future SPArc quality assurance and mechanical constraints e.g. tolerance window settings.
