ESTRO 2024

The VESPA auditing method uses the centre’s EPID system and therefore has dependence of the audit uncertainties on the EPID type. Results for newer TrueBeam and Elekta systems show high concordance of delivered and planned doses. Overall VESPA provides a low uncertainty and extremely cost-effective auditing option.

Purpose/Objective:

The objective of this study is to conduct a dosimetric intercomparison to assess the accuracy and consistency of radiation dose calculations and measurements for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment among multiple radiotherapy departments in Switzerland. This evaluation plays a crucial role in ensuring the precision and effectiveness of the SRS workflow, both during its initial commissioning and as an integral part of the annual quality assurance (QA) program, particularly in the context of patients with multiple brain metastases.
