Conclusion:
We studied the differences in PSQA measurements between two beam-matched accelerators for five representative treatment locations and techniques.
The repeatability and reproducibility of the results were similar for both accelerators. No differences were found for gamma 3% - 2 mm passing rates. Some significant differences were observed for gamma 2% - 2 mm passing rates and the ionization chamber doses in some locations. Still, these discrepancies were modest and below 2%, and all the results were within the action levels indicated in the AAPM TG-218.
Therefore, we conclude that it is acceptable in clinical practice to interchange these patients across the two accelerators without repeating PSQA measurements.
