Figure 1: Box plot of field-wise voxel-wise maximum dose rates to the highest 2% structure volume (MDR2) to any of the optic apparatus structures: optic chiasm, left and right optic nerves. Toxicity index cases are indicated in red. As can be observed in the box plot, the MDR2 for the two toxicity cases are outliers in the given patient group. MDR maps of the two fields delivering relatively high dose rates to the OC and ONL in the grade 3 toxicity case and to the OC in the grade 4 toxicity case were overlaid on the planning CTs (figure 2).
