Purpose/Objective:
To evaluate the role of radiotherapy for endometrial cancer in a retrospective multicentric Italian study.
Material/Methods:
A large database derived from 16 Italian Radiation Oncology Centres was built. Patients treated between 2010 and 2020 with surgery, post-operative external beam radiotherapy and/or interventional radiotherapy preceded or not by adjuvant chemotherapy were analysed. They were classified on the basis of the standard risk factors (Concin et al., 2021), merging the intermediate and high-intermediate risk classes into one intermediate group and including advanced and metastatic risk group in high risk level. In this way we divided the patients into three risk groups: low, intermediate and high. We correlated outcomes (local relapse, distant metastasis, overall survival and cancer specific survival) and acute and late toxicity with treatments type and risk levels.
Results:
A total of 1848 patients (median age 65 years, range 27-88 years) were analysed.
