Conclusion:

We demonstrated that a linear relationship can be used to determine the ideal shield placement for treatment to achieve prescription dose coverage. Additionally, sensitivity analysis shows that even with a 1cm setup error, our dose error would be less than 3% for the 90% and 80% prescription points. Future work will further validate this model and examine the dosimetric impact on anthropomorphic phantoms with all 6 fields. This work will improve the efficiency of planning these treatments by reducing the number of measurements to determine the optimal shield height.
