Conclusion:

Using MBDCA dose calculation, significantly lower dose is shown on the surface of the Ir-192 source only, compared to the TG-43 algorithm. It results in smaller high-dose volumes, which have no clinical significance in bronchus and cervix BT. The observed small differences in the dose-volume parameters also do not cause any clinical consequences, although the calculation time is longer with the MBDCA, so further investigations are needed to clarify the role of advanced model-based dose calculation algorithms in routine clinical BT.
