Conceptually, SER is the more comprehensive quantifier as it considers the complete cell survival curve. However, for a prescription dose based on a daily fraction of 2 Gy or 10-15 Gy, DEF or DMR may be clinically more relevant. In this case, DEF2Gy was the quantifier allowing the wider discrimination of results facilitating the comparison of potential outcomes.
