We identified a total of nine hub genes, five cluster modules, and five cluster hub genes (including ATM) as well as key pathways (including double-strand break repair) that are associated with radioresistant characteristics in SP cells of PDAC samples by analyzing microarray data, which provided the detailed molecular mechanism underlying SP pancreatic cancer cell network. Since SP cells share characteristics of CSCs, overexpression of the ATM gene could be a potential biomarker in targeting CSCs for drug design in PDAC treatments, including radiotherapy for improving the outcome.
