Conclusion:

In this randomized prospective study, there is no significant difference between the Double Shell Encompass and the Moldcare Encompass for intrafractional deviations. In terms of interfractional variations, we observed slightly larger mean deviations in the roll-axis with the Moldcare Encompass system. However, since these interfractional discrepancies can be corrected through daily CBCT-scans and 6D-couch corrections, they are not clinically relevant. Additionally, there is no difference in patient comfort within both groups. It is worth noting that patients were unable to perceive the feeling of both mask types.
