than the TPS in terms of minimizing translational and rotational set-up errors. Furthermore, the DSPS system received a higher rating for durability and reduced susceptibility to shrinkage.
Conclusion:
The minimal set-up errors observed for both the DSPS and TPS suggest that both immobilization devices provided a high degree of precision and accuracy for the treatment of brain malignancies. However, the DSPS system reduced the rotational errors compared to the TPS system and was provided a better rating by the radiographers.
