Participants attitudes towards a device were recorded across four categories, device characteristic, shape/size of device, interference with the treatment and challenges. Various themes emerged from the data, including co designing a device to contain both vibrational and visual elements (Figure 1). Overall, participants suggested the device to be small and wireless.
Conclusion:
This research highlighted the importance of addressing the needs of patients with hearing impairments in radiotherapy. It’s essential that there is a standardised way in which this cohort are treated, and they must not be disregarded from DIBH because of their impairment.
