RTT - Patient care, preparation, immobilisation and IGRT verification protocols

ESTRO 2024

Conclusion:

Overall, our analysis showed that patients who underwent large inter-fraction errors revealed a higher number of events with significant intra-fraction errors. Intra-fraction mean and maximum errors were found to increase with treatment time. In addition, a slight dependence of intra-fraction error magnitude was observed as the number of treatment fractions increased. Further analysis should be performed to investigate other factors that can influence intra-fraction error, such as immobilization systems and patient characteristics.
