RTT - Patient experience and quality of life

ESTRO 2024

Conclusion:

We have demonstrated that the novel immobilisation device “Ting-Sling” was acceptable to both patients and radiographers. Following minor modifications to the device, the reproducibility, acceptability, and experience scored highly. Patient feedback was positive although practical sessions prior to treatment were suggested as a potential improvement. In conclusion, this study has shown that the use of “Ting-Sling” for dressing external genitalia enhanced the male sarcoma patients experience and preserved their modesty when receiving radiotherapy to the proximal lower limb.
