Measures of socio-demographic and clinical characteristics. (e.g., date of birth, gender, cancer site, education level) The delivery method of information to patients. (e.g., written, verbal, multimedia, virtual reality, face-to-face) Identify factors that are perceived to assist with preparation for RT. Including being prepared for physical and psychological changes that can occur from undergoing RT, the support facilities in place, what to expect at each step in the RT process, and what is expected of the patient. The impact of time in relation to information delivered at different points during the RT process, change in priorities and or information needs over time, as well as time allocation of appointments. Identifying the actions of HCP and how they can adapt their practice to help with patient understanding and experience. Identifying factors and actions for patients in providing personalised care that gives patients empowerment before, during, and after RT. Identifying barriers that patients encounter through the RT process. (e.g., unmet information and emotional needs)

Including PPI early is imperative to inform study design and conduct, and affirms the importance of PPI in shaping and giving guidance in research studies.
