Radiotherapy basic knowledge was self-rated by participants as sufficiently good, recording an average score of 2.8 out of 5 (±1.3). Their basic knowledge was confirmed by the average quiz score of 7.4 out of 10 (±2.2). The most frequently answered question correctly was "Can the patient carry out their basic daily activities during the treatment period?" (94% answered "Yes").The least frequently answered question correctly was "What is meant by 'Simulation' in Radiotherapy?" (49% answered "A procedure preceding treatment"). In response to the question "What kind of emotions do you associate with when you hear about Radiotherapy?" [Figure 2] among the primary emotions, "expectation" (53%) and "trust" (51%) emerged as the most common, followed by "fear" (30%) and "sadness" (28%).

Regarding the question "Do you think it is useful to share informations about Radiotherapy through Social Networks?" 88% of respondents answered affirmatively.

Conclusion:

An heterogeneous and virtual user sample voluntary participated in this survey, with a prevalence of healthcare professionals and students in healthcare fields, but also individuals who out of necessity or interest have delved their knowledge in such a specialized and technological field as Radiotherapy. This statistical sample is also diverse in age and educational background but generally younger and more educated than national average population. These features emphasizing how health literacy through social channels is a new phenomenon predominantly popular in younger generations, who are common social media users.
