Conclusion:
Comparisons with the existing literature suggested that the CPW in MRgRT oART significantly outperformed traditional workflows, leading to a reduction in the overall treatment time of about 30% [1].
The time analysis carried out in this study supports the implementation of CPW in oART-MRgRT as it appears to be a valuable tool for reducing time, without compromising on patient safety or quality of care. In this scenario, RTTs play a pivotal role, actively participating in online adaptive re-planning phases (e.g.OARs delineation) and closely collaborating with RO and MP.
Enhanced AI segmentation and increasing experience with the adaptive workflow could result in even shorter oART treatments in the future, facilitating a broader adoption of this technology and better accessibility for patients.
