Conclusion:

Our hybrid treatment planning technique for WBRT provides the advantages in OAR dose of 3DRT, with increased conformation and homogeneity in breast PTV, and boost PTV selectivity, provided by the VMAT component.

Our dosimetric data show a high coverage of treatment volumes, with a low high dose area percentage inside breast PTV, a high homogeneity index, and compliance with all mandatory constraints for WBRT.
