Conclusion:

The B-REST study is the first randomized, prospective clinical trial to assess the effectiveness of a combined R&R in radiotherapy for left-sided breast carcinoma. The study will provide comparative prospective outcome data on DIBH performance, dosimetry comparisons of heart sparing by DIBH and quality-of-life assessment.
