Purpose/Objective:

Despite modern treatment methods, radiation therapy (RT) for breast cancer entails a high probability of destructive changes in vascular endothelium and thyroid parenchyma, resulting in tonsillitis, which was detected on computed tomography (CT) images at the control study. It is necessary to analyze the conditions of tonsillitis appearance after breast cancer RT.

Material/Methods:

A prospective randomized controlled study of 137 breast cancer patients. Within the framework of the grant of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan with an individual registration number AP13068657 «An innovative approach to the management of cancer patients in the COVID-19 pandemic».
