Visual alterations that were not present before radiotherapy were seen in one patient out of 50 treated (2%). Only one case of pituitary apoplexy after radiotherapy was seen.

4. Conclusion: Radiotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for pituitary adenoma. However, long-term follow-up is necessary to evaluate and treat any hormonal deficits that may occur.
