Conclusion: Our data define the combination of RT-induced cGAS re-localization and systemic type I interferon activity as potential predictors of RT responsiveness in HNSCC patients. This knowledge will help design HNSCC RT treatment protocols aimed at maximizing immune stimulation, particularly when combined with immunotherapy.
