Conclusion: This study suggests that VMAT minimizes heart dose while maintaining target coverage. OVHP and V PTV have a stronger impact on MHD than ctc Heart-PTV . Larger PTV volumes require careful optimization to reduce heart dose, emphasizing the importance of tailored planning strategies. These findings inform the development of RT planning scan-based screening for patients at risk of significant incidental cardiac radiation dose, which could prompt specific optimization approaches and clinical interventions.
