cancer patients had the highest adequacy rates among outpatients (89.2% vs. 79.1% for other cancers). The CART model achieved an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.74 (95% CI: 0.69 – 0.79) in the training set and 0.73 (95% CI: 0.68 – 0.77) in the validation set. Figure 1: Predictive model for adequate pain management: the percentages represent the proportion of patients with adequate pain management (PMI ≥ 0), while the numbers in brackets represent the total number of patients within each respective group.

Conclusion: Inadequate pain management was observed in 19% of patients, with variability influenced by health status, care setting, primary tumor type, and treatment site. These findings emphasize the need for targeted interventions, particularly in outpatient settings and for patients with high KPS. Future research should explore personalized pain management strategies and interdisciplinary approaches to optimize care for cancer patients with BMs, ultimately improving their QoL.
