Conclusion: In selected cases proton treatment can offer both lower doses to organs at risk and less low dose spread compared to photon treatment in children treated for neuroblastoma in the abdomen.

We aimed to evaluate GHD in relation to the dose to hypothalamus/pituitary after proton beam therapy in paediatric patients with CNS or skull base tumours.
