Conclusion: There is substantial variation in approach to both radical and palliative oesophagogastric radiotherapy delivery, assessment of treatment response and patient follow-up. Development of national guidelines based on best evidence is required reduce heterogeneity of radiotherapy practice and standardise patient care within England and the wider UK.
