Conclusion: EPAPLUS Digestcare did not reduce the need for rectal probes, laxatives, or enemas during radiotherapy. However, it improved both lower and upper flatulence discomfort in the experimental group. The DS is safe and did not cause long-term toxicity.

Material/Methods: This is a secondary analysis of a prospective study at a single Institution considering patients referred for salvage radiotherapy after surgery for pT2-3pN0-x prostate cancer. PSA at biochemical failure had to be higher than 0.2 ng/ml but lower than 2 ng/ml. Moreover, no treatment other than surgery had to be performed before referral. As part of the study work-up, patients meeting the above criteria underwent both mpMRI of the pelvis and PSMA PET/CT.
