Conclusion: This proton therapy based fractionation schedule incorporating pelvic irradiation for high risk prostate cancer is feasible & well tolerated. Proton therapy can reduce radiation exposure to healthy pelvic organs, especially the intestine, which may have a favorable effect on reducing the risk of chronic toxicity. This study is limited by the small sample size.
