Conclusion: Our experience supports brachytherapy as an effective adjuvant treatment with high rates of local control and acceptable toxicity. Performing it in an adult hospital represents a challenge, but with effort, coordination and multidisciplinary approach , it is feasible and it can be successfully accomplished.

Morbidity from any treatment modality, but particularly surgical intervention, can significantly impact quality of life (QoL) and was a driver for organ preservation. However, CXB also causes toxicity; affecting bowel function and QoL. Therefore, establishing the patterns and severity of toxicity after CXB through long-term patient reported outcomes measures can aid patient decision-making and help clinicians to intervene earlier, mitigating the effects of toxicity and potentially improve QoL. Material/Methods: Data was analysed from the CITRuS Study database, where electronic questionnaires were collected at baseline then monthly from colorectal cancer patients receiving surgery or radiotherapy as an initial curative modality as
