. Conclusion:
Medical students' limited knowledge of radiation oncology, stemming from its low visibility and inadequate exposure in university curricula, contributes to its declining appeal as a specialty. Raising awareness of the specialty and differentiating it from other branches of oncology could help attract more trainees. While students recognize the favorable work-life balance in this specialty, many are deterred by concerns about profitability. To improve recruitment, measures such as offering permanent contracts, competitive salaries, and support for private practice should be considered. These strategies are essential to address the growing need for specialists in this evolving field.
