The aim of our study is to evaluate the QoL in among cancer patients in Albania at the moment of the first oncological visit. Material/Methods: This is a cross sectional study done in the framework of the Albanian study on QoL among cancer patient. In this analyses are included 121 cancer patients presented for the first oncological visit in the Oncology Department during 17 October to 15 November 2024. EORTC Q30 was used for data collection. Demograhic and clinical data were analysed. Pearson's correlations and age-adjusted models were conducted. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS version 26 (SPSS, Chicago, IL). Results: Male to female ratio was 1:1. Patients mean age was 63.4 years old ( range 29-84). Majority of the patients were with gynecological, breast, gastrointestinal and prostate cancer patients with 23.1%, 20%, 19% and 16.8% respectively. The overall health and QoL was rated good and very good at the baseline in 60% and 65% of the patients, respectively. In the multivariable analysis the most significant factor affecting the QoL in cancer patients were the presence of cancer symptoms (p=0.03) and the cancer type (p=0.024). Poor rated overall health and QoL was higher in gynecological and breast cancer patients. Conclusion: Our study is the first to assess the QoL among cancer patients, providing a perspective on their experience and outcomes. The identification of key factor contributing to poor QoL will help to optimize cancer patients care.
