Conclusion This prospective clinical study demonstrated that the overwhelming majority of patients (44/45) preferred the newly developed RT-Comfort mattress over the standard matt; it led to clinically significant pain reduction without compromising positioning stability and dose delivery. Therefore, we recommend the use of the RT-Comfort mattress, also beyond palliative settings.
