Conclusion: AI-driven auto-contouring systems, when trained on CTVs, succeed against expert observers, with performances consistent to inter-observer variations. The two tested commercial systems are not suitable for CTV segmentation, when using the structure “breast” as a possible surrogate of CTV. The study is supported by an AIRC grant (IG23150).
