(<0.5%) areas. Some of the observed differences appeared to be related to the lower calculation resolution (1mm) compared with the measurement resolution (0.2mm). Gamma agreement for 2%/1.5mm was 99.3%.

Conclusion: The semi-automatic implant definition, metal artifact reduction in CT and Monte Carlo calculation allow accurate modelling of complex spine metallic implants for treatment planning in proton therapy.
