Conclusion: CFR-PEEK constructs showed significantly improved dosimetric accuracy, consistent with in-bone only measurements, within 5 mm of construct when compared to conventional, titanium constructs. Moreover, CFR PEEK resulted in superior image quality, aiding in target and spinal cord delineation, MRI-CT image registration, and follow-up imaging. All algorithms predicted spinal canal dose to sufficient accuracy, even in the presence of titanium. CFR-PEEK stabilization hardware has numerous advantages for spine SRS and can be an alternative to conventional surgical hardware.
