Conclusion: Based on current understanding of the FLASH-effect and LQ-model, OARs at tumor sites with α/β T <≈ α/β NT seems to benefit from FLASH-hypofractionated treatment regimes. However, not all tumor sites may benefit from FLASH-RT given the variability in toxicity and NT-sparing.
