Physics - Dose prediction, optimisation and applications of photon and electron planning

Conclusion: This project demonstrates the feasibility of using a base dose optimization approach for optimizing reirradiation plans within a clinical treatment planning system. For four patients, the base dose approach resulted in an equal or superior dose distribution compared to the clinically delivered plan. The results were obtained including above mentioned extra steps for the preparation but with reduced number of optimizations (for three cases two and for one case one optimization) to receive the discussed dose distribution.
