The expert teams assessed several potential applications (Figure 2 F-I) as having no or (some) added clinical value, or they did not know the value. The exception was spectral 4DCT, which was scored by the lung experts as substantial clinical value. The value is expected in the spectral information: to have a good quality contrast and non contrast scans in the same phase.

Conclusion: The most promising areas for utilization of PCCT in radiotherapy could be identified. Most clinical value was scored in the use of spectral data and increased resolution for better target definition in head & neck, bone and lung tumors. These could be the first areas for clinical application of PCCT.
