The analysis showed no clinically significant differences between dose calculated on the calibrated and reconstructed ED map. Figure 2 shows the difference in dose metrics for radiotherapy structures calculated using both ED maps. The median difference across all structures was < 0.17 Gy.
The gamma analysis across all plans was >99.7%, 100% and 100% at 1%/1mm, 2%/2mm and 3%/3mm, respectively.
Conclusion: Photon dose calculations using calibrated and reconstructed ED maps show no clinically significant differences. This suggests that reconstructed ED maps could be used directly for photon radiotherapy dose calculation, across a range of clinical sites.
