treatment-related complications, 4 patients (10.5%) developed persistent tongue ulcer and 4 patients (10.5%) developed osteoradionecrosis of the jaw.

Conclusion: Interstitial brachytherapy for early OCSCC yielded acceptable long-term treatment outcomes and safety data. It is an effective and safe alternative treatment option to radical surgery.
