Conclusion: DIR is more accurate than RIR for mapping dose between repeat courses of thoracic radiation therapy. Inclusion of corresponding landmarks in registration increases accuracy at those locations. Dose mapping errors at were in general low with DIR, however DME increases in high dose gradients.
