Pascale, Napoli, Italy. 2 Department of Radiotherapy, AOU Federico II, Napoli, Italy Purpose/Objective: Advancements in surface BT (sBT) have enabled better conformity of prescription dose to lesions, particularly for those of irregular shape. In our hospital, in 2024, the percentage of patients receiving sBT has increased by 30%. However, the steep dose gradient of the 192 Ir coupled with its small size requires a rigorous workflow and expert team to ensure the correctness of dose delivery. In the planning phase, the sources of inaccuracy are mainly a combination of uncertainty associated with manual catheter reconstruction. Still the needed of verification procedures, as highlighted by the AAPM Tg-253, these checks are not a standard. The goal of this work is to propose a practical and direct methodology to perform a plan QA in sBT treatments.
