Conclusion: Adaptive radiotherapy is not beneficial for all patients, but it is necessary for patients with atelectasis and pleural effusion. Furthermore, adaptive radiotherapy shows modest NTCP benefits in patients with tumor regression. The benefits of adaptive radiotherapy are slightly larger in patients receiving proton therapy compared to photon therapy.
