Conclusion: Mechanical ventilation at 60 breaths per minute with 15cmH ₂ O PEEP significantly increases the heart-stomach distance. This technique shows an excellent outlook for application during STAR to reduce both respiratory motion, thereby increasing treatment accuracy, and to reduce the risk of radiation-associated stomach toxicity by providing favorable organ positions for patients with an inferior wall target.
Keywords: mechanical ventilation, ventricular tachycardia
