Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of understanding the calibration chain integrity to mitigate the effects of dosimetric drift in clinical settings. Key recommendations include maintaining a detailed log of calibration coefficient changes over time and encouraging regular recalibration following updates at primary laboratories. Existing centralized registries for calibration updates offer clinical centers convenient access to the latest standards. Regularly consulting these registries will help enhance consistency in dose delivery. Implementing these straightforward measures will not only enhance patient safety but also optimize brachytherapy outcomes across diverse clinical settings.
