Conclusion: This study demonstrates the feasibility of irradiating tumor biopsies ex vivo to predict clinical response, during the diagnostic work up of OPSCC patients for 32% of the patients, with technical optimization ongoing. The observed distinction in radiosensitivity related to HPV and smoking status suggests the potential relevance of this functional test.
