Conclusion: Hypoxia-induced ECM remodelling is a prevalent pan-cancer process involving both HIF1/HIF2 dependent and independent regulation. Our signature predictive capacity should be evaluated beyond bladder cancer, as it was prognostic across several cancer types. Finally, our results suggest the signature’s predictive capacity associated with radiotherapy decreasing cell migration on hypoxic ECMs. This mechanism should be further validated and explored as it could identify novel therapeutic approaches in cancer.
